Our Annual Family Picnic and Court of Honor will be held this Tuesday at 6pm. The Troop Committee will be providing the main course – probably hamburgers or hot dogs. We are asking families to bring either side or dessert. Please sign up at Troop 48 Germantown: Family Picnic Court of Honor to let us know how many from your family will be in attendance, and what you will bring. If your scout is First Class or below, please plan on bringing a side. If your Scout is Star, Life or Eagle, please plan on bringing a dessert. We will be presenting the Troop’s 2026 Calendar at the Picnic.
Popcorn Reminder
Please continue to sell popcorn to friends, neighbors, and family.
Parents — If you haven’t already done so, please download the Trails End app and invite your Scout. This is the only way for them to create an account.

General Information
The PLC has decided to cancel the October 3-5 Campout. We will participate in the rescheduled Eastern District Camporee on October 24-26 and our Backpacking Trip on November 7-9. After studying the Ouachita Trail, we found that there isn’t a good segment for the Troop, so we’re going to switch to Montgomery Bell State Park.
Merit Badge Spotlight — Crime Prevention
Preventing crime, which can be as simple as reducing the opportuntities for crime to occur, is far less costly than apprehending and bringing legal action against those who break the law and it helps save people from the anguish of being victims.
