Fence Building Troop Service Project

Thanks to all the Scouts and Leaders who helped with the rebuilding of the fence around the air conditioning units near the preschool playground at Faith Presbyterian Church. The completed fence and gate look very nice. Scouts are reminded to add their service hours to the section in the back of their Handbook. We will probably be staining it in the Spring for additional service hours.

Gift Basket Troop Service Project – 12/9/25

We will be assembling our annual gift baskets at the next meeting. We will start at 5 by assembling the baskets and then break for pizza. Afterward, we will be delivering the baskets to the recipients.

December Court of Honor and Christmas Party – 12/16/25

Our December Court of Honor will be on the 16th. The start time will be 6pm. We will have an Investiture Ceremony to welcome the new Scouts who have joined our Troop this Fall, and will recognize the Scouts who have completed Merit Badges and Ranks. There will be a pot luck meal and a gift exchange. All Scouts and Leaders that would like to participate will need to bring a wrapped gift of at least $20 value. No gift cards are allowed. You may end up with your own gift, so make certain it’s something you would want.

January Ski Trip

We plan to go on a ski trip January 9-11 (with January 23-25 as backup dates). For those that went last January, the plan is the same. For the rest, we will meet at Faith at 4 pm and drive to a church in St. Louis. On Saturday, we will head to Hidden Valley Ski Resort. Scouts can choose to either ski or snowboard (learning is best on skis according to the staff). Lessons will be included in the package. After the slopes, we will head out for pizza and return to the church. The cost is $100 with the Troop Committee picking up the excess. Because the trip is early in January, we will need the payment by the Court of Honor on December 16th.
