With our rescheduled Ski Trip last weekend, I didn’t send out the weekly Troop email, but I wanted to share some information with Parents and Scouts about upcoming events.
January Ski Trip
Due to the warm weather, we had to move our Ski Trip to the alternate date. We have lessons, rentals, and lift tickets for 5 Scouts and 5 Adults for the ski trip on January 23-25. We’ll be meeting at 4:45 on Friday. Please limit your gear, as storage space in the vehicles will be limited. Please make sure to pack many layers, as the temperature will be significantly colder than we are used to.
Eagle Scout Court of Honor
We are looking forward to Trey’s Eagle Court of Honor on January 17th. Scouts should arrive at 2 pm for rehearsal.
Scout Sunday
On February 1st, we are asking all Troop Members to attend Service at Faith Presbyterian in full uniform. We will meet at 10 am to sell Spaghetti Supper tickets beforehand.
If you do not attend Faith, contact your church and wear your uniform on February 8th.
Troop 48’s 70th Annual Spaghetti Supper
The Spaghetti Supper is a significant fundraiser for the Troop, which allows us to subsidize the costs of trips and Summer Camp. Please plan to attend and consider volunteering to help make this tradition a success. Adults,

Merit Badge Opportunity
Troop 13 is holding an Eagle-Required Merit Badge Day on February 28th from 7:30 to 5 at the Junior League of Memphis (3475 Central Ave, Memphis, TN 38111, Memphis, TN, 38018).

Merit Badge Updates
The Indian Lore Merit Badge has been renamed to Native American Cultures and redesigned. The requirements have not changed, and Scouts cannot earn both; however, they can replace their existing merit badge with the new design, if desired.
