December Court of Honor and Christmas Party – 12/16/25
Our December Court of Honor will be on the 16th. The start time will be 6 pm. We will have an Investiture Ceremony to welcome the new Scouts who have joined our Troop this Fall, and will recognize the Scouts who have completed Merit Badges and Ranks. There will be a potluck meal and a gift exchange. Please click the link to let us know what you are bringing to the Troop 48 Annual Christmas Potluck 2025. All Scouts and Leaders who would like to participate will need to bring a wrapped gift with a value of at least $20. No gift cards are allowed. You may end up with your own gift, so make certain it’s something you would want.
January Ski Trip
We plan to go on a ski trip January 9-11 (with January 23-25 as backup dates). For those who went last January, the plan is the same. For the rest, we will meet at Faith at 4 pm and drive to a church in St. Louis. On Saturday, we will head to Hidden Valley Ski Resort. Scouts can choose to either ski or snowboard (learning is best on skis, according to the instructors). Lessons will be included in the package. After the slopes, we will head out for pizza and return to the church. The cost is $100 with the Troop Committee picking up the excess. When signing up, we’ll need Height, Weight, Shoe Size, and a picture. Because the trip is early in January, we will need the payment by the Court of Honor on December 16th. Payments can be made through Zeffy or by check. If paying through Zeffy, please note that the Contribution to Zeffy can be adjusted without affecting the amount received by the Troop. Please only contribute if you want. It can be set to $0 without penalty.
Gift Basket Troop Service Project – 12/9/25
Thanks to all the Scouts and Leaders who helped with the annual gift baskets. I know the food was appreciated by those individuals.
