I hope everyone is staying safe and warm.  If you are looking for activities while you are stuck at home for the next few days, look over your handbook and see if there is a skill you can learn to get signed off.

Summer Camp

The first Summer Camp deposit of $125 was due last Tuesday ($50 for adults).  If you have not made the payment but intend to attend, please make the payment as soon as possible and let me know.  The Troop will be going to Skymont Scout Reservation from June 13th to 20th.  The total cost will be $385/$155, but the Troop Committee generally picks up 50% (the contribution has not yet been determined).  We currently have 2 Scouts and 1 adult signed up.

January Ski Trip

Skiing was clearly not in the cards for us this year.  Payments made for this trip will be credited back to the Scout’s Scoutbucks account and can be applied to future trips.  Stay safe and warm!

Scout Sunday

On February 1st, we are asking all Troop Members to attend Service at Faith Presbyterian in full uniform.  We will meet at 10 am to sell Spaghetti Supper tickets beforehand.

If you do not attend Faith, contact your church and wear your uniform on February 8th.

Troop 48’s 70th Annual Spaghetti Supper

The Spaghetti Supper is a significant fundraiser for the Troop, which allows us to subsidize the costs of trips and Summer Camp.  Please plan to attend and consider volunteering to help make this tradition a success. Adults, 

Please use the Sign-up Genius link to let us know where you’ll be volunteering.  We will be preparing on Thursday from 6-8 (bring a food processor, if possible) and cooking from 9-5 on Friday.

Scouts will need to bring 2 desserts.  Please use this link to ensure a variety of treats. 

Merit Badge Opportunity

Troop 13 is holding an Eagle-Required Merit Badge Day on February 28th from 7:30 to 5 at the Junior League of Memphis (3475 Central Ave, Memphis, TN 38111).
