Today, we remember the heroes whose courage gave us the gift of freedom.
I’d like to thank the Scouts and family members who came out Saturday to help with the Flag Placement – Logan and Steve Burden; Mathew, David and Melissa Adams; Miller and Chuck Utterback; Braxton, Levi and Kern Young; and Jason Dockstader. I’ve been helping with Flag Placement for many years and this was the fastest I’ve ever seen it go.
After Memorial Day, the Troop switches to Summer Uniforms until Labor Day. Scouts will wear the activity (Class B) uniform to Troop meetings, which consists of the Troop 48 T-shirt in place of the Scout shirt and neckerchief.
T-shirt Order due 5/26
Before Summer Camp, we will place an order for additional T-shirts. The cost is $16 for short sleeve and $18 for long sleeve. We encourage Scouts to bring 4 Troop T-shirts to Summer Camp as they will wear them every day to their sessions. Troop T-shirts improve behavior and accountability. Please turn in the attached order form with your payment.

- 5/26 – Troop Meeting (Dining Fly Practice, Kickball, Advancement) – We could use some older Scouts to train our younger Scouts in setting up the Fly at Summer Camp. If you have Advancement that needs to be signed off in your book, bring the evidence.
