Awards Court of Honor – next Tuesday, February 6
All Scouts and their parents should plan to attend our Awards Court of Honor next Tuesday, February 6 at 7 PM in the Chapel. We will have information on Skymont Summer Camp (June 9-16) and the following items are due that night:
- The first Skymont deposit is due February 6 and is $75 for Scouts and $30 for Adults. The total cost for Skymont this year will be $180 for Scouts and $85 for Adults. These costs are being subsidized by the Troop by $115 per Scout and $65 per Adult, so we encourage everyone to consider attending summer camp and taking advantage of this great deal. Please pay this deposit to our Scribe or our treasurer Mr. Fred Lee.
- Please turn in Spaghetti Supper ticket money and any unsold tickets Tuesday night to Mrs. Kelley Lee. For every 8 tickets sold, you will receive 1 free ticket.

Spaghetti Supper – Friday, February 9, 5:00 – 7:00 PM
We need ALL parents to volunteer and bring two desserts or a double recipe (store-bought is fine), so please sign up on each of these lists if you haven’t already. Please bring desserts to the church by 4:00. If you have any questions, please contact Kelley Lee. Please try to sell as many tickets as possible!

All Scouts should arrive at 4 PM on Friday in uniform to work during the supper. The Scouts will eat before 5:00, and each Scout needs to have a ticket or $10 for their meal. So be sure to sell 8 tickets to get 1 free for your Scout.

Health and Medical Records for Scouts and Adults – Forms due February 20 and April 24
- Every Scout and Leader must have a completed Annual Health and Medical Record (health form) submitted to our health & safety officer (Mr. Ralph) annually. This includes Parts A, B and C. Those who are taking medication are required to fill out the medications section of Part B. All medications, including over-the-counter vitamins or supplements, are required to be on the list.
- Forms can be found at this link: www.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_ABC.pdf Please use this form because only the 2014, or newer Annual Health and Medical Record will be accepted at camp.
- Give updated 2018 Parts A and B to assistant Scoutmaster Richard Ralph NO LATER THAN 2/20/18 and Part C to assistant Scoutmaster Richard Ralph NO LATER THAN 4/24/18. Please let Mr. Ralph know in advance if you cannot meet these deadlines. Part C must be signed by a physician or nurse practitioner, so make your appointments now.
- All scouts, leaders and dads attending Summer Camp, Summer Adventure or any Trip lasting longer than 72 hours will be required to complete Part C which requires a physical and must be signed by a certified and licensed health-care provider, as well as provide a copy of their insurance card.
- Please TURN IN (2) COPIES of Parts A, B and C to Mr. Ralph and also keep a copy for your home records. This allows Mr. Ralph to send copies in advance to the Camp Nurse and still have a copy in his possession for quick reference.
- Most frequent mistakes in filling out the Health Forms:
- Scout and/or parent does not sign the forms (Scouts must sign Part A and Parents must sign Parts A and B)
- No copy of insurance card (Need copy of front and back)
- No immunization record on Part B (Separate printout is acceptable)
- Lines left blank (You must designate at least one adult to transport your Scout on Part A)
- Save your own health form electronically in a secure place, so each year it is easy to update, but do not email health forms.
- Those who have not turned in completed Health Forms by the deadlines stated above will not be eligible to attend campouts until the completed health forms are provided to Mr. Ralph.
- If prescriptions/conditions change or are added throughout the year, please let Mr. Ralph know as soon as possible so he can update the forms. These forms are only as good as the information on them!
