BBQ Sale Fundraiser – Orders due by June 18

We will be having our BBQ fundraiser this year, with pick-up on Saturday, July 3 from 9-11 am at the church. Attached is the order form, please sell as much as possible! We will sell delicious pork roasts, ribs and sauce prepared by our own Mr. Richard Ralph and the Serial Grillers team, so get your orders in, so you don’t miss out!  Orders need to be emailed to Mrs. Stephanie Hardin by June 18th at SCMH09904@gmail.com. Payment can be turned in at the June 1 or June 8 troop meetings to Mrs. Kim Ridenhour or to Mrs. Stephanie Hardin on July 3 at pickup. Payments can be made by cash or check made out to Troop 48, or using a credit card on Plastiq (with administrative charge).  We will not accept PayPal payments for our fundraiser.

Summer Schedule and Uniforms

There will be no regular troop meetings on June 15, 22, 29 for the summer break. We will have troop meetings on June 1 and June 8. We are in the process of planning a campout for July, so we may have a troop meeting in July before the campout, so more to come on that.

Also, beginning next Tuesday, the Troop will wear Class B activity uniforms for the summer at Troop meetings until Labor Day (Troop t-shirt instead of Uniform shirt, no neckerchief, but still have BSA socks, belt, shorts/pants and cap). Class A field uniforms are required when traveling on all trips, even in the summer.

Summer is a good time to make progress on merit badges! The procedures for starting a merit badge are outlined on our Troop 48 website – www.troop48.org under Policy and Procedures. See Scoutmaster Brian Issing or Assistant Scoutmaster John Dockstader to get a blue card and a merit badge counselor assigned.
