Scouts BSA Registration Fees for 2022 due this Tuesday, November 9
Fees for Scouts and registered adults for 2022 are due by this Tuesday, November 9. All Scouts and registered adults who wish to continue in Troop 48 for 2022 calendar year need to pay this fee. Please pay our Treasurer, Mr. Frederick Lee, or you can pay online on the troop website. The fee for Scouts is $84 and the fee for registered adults is $45. Scout Bucks may be used if you have an available balance.
November Campout Location Change
Our November campout will be Backpacking 101 on November 12-14. Because we have such a small group attending, the location is changed to a closer one, the Ft. Henry Trail System at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area near Dover, TN. The meet time on Friday, November 12 is 5:30 PM.
Advancement Report Attached
Attached is the latest advancement report as of November 1. If you have completed requirements that are not reflected on the report, please bring your BSA handbook to Mr. Rodney Donald so he can update your advancement record. If you are working to complete a rank before the December Court of Honor on December 7, please contact Scoutmaster Issing and Mr. Donald soon to schedule your Scoutmaster conference and Board of Review.
December Court of Honor, December 7 – Potluck at 6 PM
We will be holding our December Court of Honor and Troop Christmas Party Potluck on December 7 at 6 PM. We will send out a sign-up for potluck dishes in a couple of weeks, but please save the date and plan to attend with your family. Scouts will have a gift exchange: each Scout who wants to participate will need to bring a wrapped gift with a value of $15 or less.
Scouting for Food
Scouting for Food is an annual service drive sponsored by the Chickasaw Council, Boy Scouts of America, International Paper, the Mid-South Food Bank and local food pantries across the region. Scouts across the Mid-South will soon collect more than 25,000 lbs. of food items for our community’s most needy. The Scouting for Food campaign runs through November 20 and our troop has been asked to fill three (3) grocery bags with items. If you would like to commit to providing some food items, please contact Scoutmaster Issing.
