BSA Health Forms – Parts A and B due this Tuesday January 26

BSA Health Forms Parts A and B are due to Mr. Richard Ralph by this Tuesday, January 26^th with a copy of your insurance card. All Scouts and adults attending campouts should turn in Parts A and B. These forms do not require a doctor’s signature.  Part C that requires a doctor’s signature will be due by the end of April. BSA Registered Adults

We would like to thank Ross Earl, who has become a Troop Committee member. Also, Logan Gray has registered as a BSA adult as a Unit College Scouter Reserve. Thanks for your commitment!

Sustainability Merit Badge

Mr. Rob Ragland will be offering classes for the Sustainability merit badge, which is one of the Eagle-required merit badges. Please see the attached file for all of the information and instructions, the deadline to sign up is January 26th. If interested, first see Mr. Brian Issing to get a blue card signed and then sign up with Mr. Ragland.

 

Skymont Deposits

We are accepting Skymont payments now that are due by February 2^nd, so please consider taking care of that early. Skymont summer camp  is June 11-18, and the first deposit is due by 2/2: $75 deposit for Scouts and $30 deposit for adults. Please note that Skymont payments may not be refundable, unless another Scout takes the spot. Please make every effort to sign up by February 2^nd, as the Troop has to make payment to Skymont very soon after that. The total amount for Skymont will be $200 per Scout and $85 per adult.  These amounts are subsidized by the Troop – the subsidy is approximately $70 per Scout and $55 per adult.

 

Spaghetti Supper – Parent Duty Roster

We need all parents to help with the Spaghetti Supper on February 5th. If you haven’t let Mr. Eric Hube know what you would like to help with, please do that soon.

 

Bring a Friend Night – Date Change to February 9

This event has been rescheduled from January 26th to February 9th. We are looking to recruit some new Scouts to join Troop 48.  If you bring a friend to the Troop meeting on February 9th, you and your friend will get pizza! Only those who bring a friend will get to enjoy the pizza, so invite someone today!

 

Scout Sunday – January 31st

Please plan to join the Troop in worship at Faith Presbyterian on January 31^st to celebrate Scout Sunday (wear Class A uniform). We would like everyone to be in the chapel at 9:45 am to take troop and patrol pictures. The worship service begins at 10:45 in the chapel.  Please note this is an earlier time to meet than previously communicated on the Troop Calendar.

 

February Campout – Biking

For the February 13-14 biking campout, Scouts will need bicycles with gears. If you need to borrow a bike for the campout, please let Mr. Bo Hormberg know.
