Scouting T-Shirt for Sale – Thursday February 9th

Our own Chance Reynolds (Chancellor’s dad) designed a Scouting t-shirt (design pictured below) that will be on sale tomorrow for 24 hours on Thursday, Feb 9th on blipshift.com, a website that sells a different original t-shirt each day. He doesn’t receive any proceeds from the sales, but we wanted to share this in case anyone wanted to purchase one. Inspired by his three children participating in Scouting, the all-terrain, dependable vehicle pictured is called a “Scout” model and the design lists the first three Scout laws:  Trustworthy, Loyal and Helpful. Chance said it also reminded him of when he was young, that his parents wanted him to become an Eagle Scout before he could get his driver’s license. Chance is excited his design was chosen because he said he’s never been the creative type and was hesitant to submit his idea, so he reminds us of the lesson that you never know what you can achieve unless you try. Congratulations to Chance!  Please contact Chance at chancellorreynolds@yahoo.com if you have any questions about purchasing the t-shirt.

Boy Scout Sunday – February 12 – A Scout is Reverent

All Scouts and their families are invited to attend the worship service at Faith Presbyterian Church to celebrate Boy Scout Sunday on February 12th. Scouts should wear Class A uniforms. We will also be taking Troop and Patrol photos at 10:00 am in the chapel, so please don’t be late and miss being in the picture. The worship service begins at 10:45 am. If you prefer to attend your own church service, please try to at least stop by for the photos at 10:00 in uniform. Scout Sunday is designated near February 8 (Scouting Anniversary Day) to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting.

62nd Annual Spaghetti Supper – Sell your Tickets!

Tickets for the spaghetti supper fundraiser were handed out to Scouts (each Scout received 8 tickets), and tickets are $10 each. For every 8 tickets sold, one free ticket is earned. On Saturday, February 11th, we will meet at the church at 1:00 pm to sell tickets in the neighborhoods around the church, ending at 3:00 pm (wear your uniform). Please turn in ticket money and any unsold tickets on Tuesday, February 14th.

On Friday, February 17th, we need Scouts to be there at 4:00 pm in uniform, and we need all parents to help out. Parents, please let Kelley Lee know how you would like to help - cook, set-up, clean-up, etc.  We also need each family to provide a dessert on the 17th. The time for the dinner is 5 pm – 7 pm.

PLEASE TURN IN BSA HEALTH FORMS A and B and a copy of insurance card to Mr. Richard Ralph AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. All Scouts and adults attending camping trips need to complete these forms. http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/HealthandSafety/ahmr.aspx
