Awards Court of Honor and Christmas Party Potluck – December 12

We invite all of our Scouts and their families to attend our Christmas party potluck, which will start 1 hour earlier on December 12 at 6:00 PM. Please sign up to bring food at this link: Sign Up

All Scouts should bring a wrapped gift for a gift exchange (limit $20). We will also have our Awards Court of Honor that night.

Christmas Basket Service Project – December 19

We will be delivering food baskets to four needy families at 4:00 pm on Tuesday December 19 (there is no regular Troop meeting that night). We need Scouts and adult drivers to volunteer to help assemble and deliver the baskets – please sign up with Mr. Richard Ralph (raintekirrigation@gmail.com).  Pizza will be provided for those participating after the deliveries are made.

Advancement Report Attached

Attached is this month’s advancement report. Please check to see if your record is up to date, and please see Mrs. Vietzke if there are any updates to be made.

Campout fee for January due January 2

The $25 fee for the January 13-15 backpacking trip on the Ozark Trail in Missouri is due the first Tuesday of the new year on January 2.  If you will not be able to attend that meeting, please sign up for the campout and pay the fee prior to January 2. Sign up with our Scribe, Chancellor Reynolds (cmreynoldsjr@icloud.com), and pay the fee to our Treasurer, Mr. Frederick Lee. ScoutBucks may be used, or PayPal or Plastiq links are available on our Troop website (www.troop48.org). Remember simply paying with PayPal or Plastiq is not signing up for the campout, Scouts still need to let the Scribe know they are signing up.

Conservation Service Project – January 6

The Troop will be holding a conservation service project on January 6 at Pinecrest retreat center in LaGrange, TN from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lunch will be provided by the Scoutmasters. This is an excellent opportunity for Scouts to earn service hours required for rank advancement, especially Star Scouts who are required to perform three conservation service hours to advance, or just to do your good turn for the day (A Scout is Helpful). Please let Mr. Bo Hormberg know if you will be attending the service project on January 6. Those adults who can help drive, please let Mr. Bo Hormberg know that as well.

We have some extra greenery items for sale, listed below. If you sell one or would like to purchase one, please let Mrs. Marjorie Reynolds know (marjreynolds@gmail.com), and turn in the money to her. The items listed below are available to sell on a first come, first served basis.
