Summer Adventure Payment due Tuesday, June 4
The $50 balance is due Tuesday for the Summer Adventure for those who have signed up for the trip. Please pay Mr. Fred Lee or the scribe.
Barbecue Fundraiser – July 4th
Attached is an order form for our Troop’s July 4th BBQ fundraiser. Please sell as much as possible, and please complete a separate order form for each order. The orders are due by June 18 to Stephanie Hardin, but please turn in orders as you get them so we can plan appropriately. Our last Troop meeting prior to the summer break is June 4, so you can also email orders to Stephanie at SCMH9904@gmail.com. No Scout Bucks are awarded for this fundraiser, but it is an important one that helps fund our campouts, Summer Adventure, Skymont summer camp and camping equipment.
Sea Base St. Thomas Opportunity
Troop 225 from West Memphis is looking for four more Scouts age 14 or older or men to attend a sailing trip at Sea Base in the Virgin Islands from July 6-14. The cost is $1,300 + flight, and includes food and sailing fee. Mr. Issing can provide contact information if you are interested.
Summer Schedule and Uniforms
There will be no regular troop meetings on June 11, 18, 25 and July 2, 9 for the summer break. On July 2, only those attending the Summer Adventure will meet. We will have a troop meeting on June 4, and then weekly troop meetings will resume on July 16 after the break.
Troop 48 90th Anniversary Celebration – August 17
Our troop is having its 90th anniversary this year, and we will celebrate with friends and alumni on August 17th. See the attached letter for details and the ticket order form. A BBQ dinner will be served led by our own Richard Ralph and his Serial Grillers BBQ team. Tickets are $10 per person if purchased prior to August 8th, $15 per person after August 8. We would like everyone from the Troop to plan to attend this event, so please mark this on your calendars and purchase your tickets from Kim Ridenhour.
