Posted on Sun, Oct 11, 2020

Flying Falcons Patrol October Campout fee due this Tuesday

The fee for the October 24-25 campout is $20 per person and is due this Tuesday (10/13) during the troop meeting. You can use Scout Bucks if you have a balance. Payment can also be made via PayPal on the troop website near the bottom of the page ([www.troop48.org]www.troop48.org). Please sign up with Mr. Rob Ragland at the troop meeting and let him know how you are paying. If you need to pay by check, please make arrangements with our treasurer, Mr. Frederick Lee on how to get that to him. If you sign up for the campout after the 10/13 deadline, then you will need to follow the late sign-up procedures (https://www.troop48.org/f/docs/RulesandProcedures.html).

Troop 48 Fundraisers

Just a reminder to keep selling popcorn and greenery!

  • Popcorn orders and money are due October 17 (See email sent 8/16). You can turn in popcorn orders & money at the church to Kim Ridenhour from 10 AM – Noon on 10/17, in the circle drive on the side of the church next to the Ralph Moak garage. We have some prizes to choose from for those who turn in a popcorn order on 10/17!
  • Greenery orders and money will be due October 25 to Marjorie Reynolds.

Used Uniform Parts/Troop 48 T-Shirts

If you have any uniform parts or Troop 48 t-shirts that you would like to donate back to the troop, please plan to bring them to the popcorn order drop-off on October 17 at 10 AM at the Ralph Moak garage at the church. We will have a table set up where you can drop these off, and then others can pick up items they want during the popcorn order drop-off. If you would like to look through these donated items to get free t-shirts and uniform parts, please plan to stop by on October 17 from 10 AM to Noon to see what we have (first come, first served).

Adult Volunteers Needed

  • We need adult volunteers to assist with the Greenery and Popcorn sales. This year, Marjorie Reynolds will lead the Greenery sale and Kim Ridenhour will lead the Popcorn sale, but this is the last year they will be doing it, so we would like to have two volunteers work with them this year so they can lead the sales next year. If you are interested in either of these roles, please contact Kim Ridenhour.

  • We need an adult volunteer to manage our troop’s Facebook site, posting articles each week. Material for posting will be provided. If you are interested in this role, please contact Kim Ridenhour.  We also are looking for someone to replace Kim as Committee Chair. Let Kim or John Campbell know if you are interested in that role.

  • The next Troop Committee meeting will be on November 2 at 7 PM on WebEx. All parents are welcome to attend Troop Committee meetings. If you are not a Committee member, but would like to attend the Committee meeting, please let Kim Ridenhour know and she will send you the WebEx invitation.

All Troop 48 in-person activities are cancelled until the church informs us that we can return.
