Adult Volunteer Needed to Lead Popcorn Sale – the kickoff is August 5, we really need a volunteer now
We need an adult volunteer to lead our BSA popcorn sale this fall. The sale usually runs September-November. The popcorn leader is responsible for the following:
· Attend the kick-off meeting for the Council
· Promote the sale in our troop
· Set up popcorn accounts for each Scout
· Collect and aggregate orders from our Scouts
· Place the troop’s popcorn order on the popcorn website
· Pick-up the popcorn and distribute the orders
· Order and deliver prizes
If you can help with leading the popcorn sale this year, please let John Campbell or Kim Ridenhour know.
Swim Fun Night – August 3 – 7:30 PM
On Tuesday, August 3, we will have a Swim Fun Night at Germantown Athletic Club instead of the regular Troop meeting at the church from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. Each person swimming needs to complete the attached Guest Waiver form and bring it with them on August 3. If you are a member of Germantown Athletic Club, please bring your membership pass. This is also an opportunity to take the BSA Swim Check if needed or complete Second Class swimming requirements. If you need to take the Swim Check or need Second Class requirements, please let Scoutmaster Issing know. All Scouts and Dads need to have passed the BSA Swim Check in the past year and qualify as a “BSA Swimmer” to participate in water activities at the August campout, which will be a flatwater sports weekend at Land Between the Lakes.

August 3 – Swim Fun Night at GAC – 7:30 PM (no troop meeting)
August 10 - $25 campout fee due for August campout
August 20-22 – Campout at Land Between the Lakes – Flatwater Sports
