Awards Court of Honor – Tuesday, February 1 – February Campout fee and Summer Camp deposit due
All Scouts and their families should plan to attend our Awards Court of Honor next Tuesday night at 7 PM in the chapel. Refreshments will be served afterward in the Scout room. Please sign up at this link to bring refreshments: Refreshments Sign-Up
There will be a presentation on Summer camp, and the following payments are due that night:
·The February campout fee of $25 per person is due 2/1. The campout will be February 11-13 at Pinecrest. The troop will have an unstructured weekend and work on a conservation service project.
·The first deposit for Skymont summer camp on June 11-18 is due 2/1 - $75 deposit for Scouts and $30 deposit for adults. The total cost for Skymont this year will be $150 for Scouts and $75 for Adults. These costs are being subsidized by the Troop by $150 per Scout and $80 per Adult, so we encourage everyone to consider attending summer camp to take advantage of this great deal and make some progress on earning merit badges. Please note that any adults attending Skymont need to be registered with the BSA. Scout Sunday – February 6
Please make plans for Scouts and their families to attend the church service at Faith Presbyterian on Sunday, February 6 to celebrate Scout Sunday. We will also take the Troop photo that morning at 10 am in the chapel, and then attend the 10:45 contemporary service in Faith Hall. Scouts should wear Class A uniforms.
Bring a Friend Night – February 15
Please invite your friends to join us at the Troop meeting on Tuesday, February 15. If you’ve already invited someone, give them a reminder or offer to pick them up. We’ll have special activities and everyone who brings a friend will have pizza! Scouts, please be sure to arrive early at 6:45 pm to greet our visitors.
Spaghetti Supper – February 25, 5 pm – 7 pm
Tickets for our 66th annual Spaghetti Supper on February 25 were handed out to Scouts, so please start selling those. Tickets are $12 each. For every 8 tickets you sell, you earn 1 free ticket. Scouts will need to turn in money for tickets sold and any unsold tickets. We need all Scouts and parents to help with this event, so please plan to be there on February 25. If you have any questions or need additional tickets, please contact Mrs. Kelley Lee. We will be sending out a separate email with sign-ups on how you can help, and each family will need to provide 2 desserts.
Spaghetti Supper Assistant Needed
Kelley Lee has volunteered to lead our Spaghetti Supper fundraiser again on February 25, 2022, but we would like a volunteer to assist her this year, with the intent of learning the ropes and leading the event in 2023. If you are interested in volunteering, please let John Campbell or Kelley Lee know.
Germantown Athletic Club Members
Our swim check will be held at the Germantown Athletic Club on April 26. The troop pays a $5 fee per person for non-members. If you are a member of GAC and have any free passes you will not use, would you consider donating these to the troop for April 26? Please let Scoutmaster Brian Issing know if you have passes to donate.
