Troop 48 T-Shirt Orders due April 20
Attached is an order form for Troop t-shirts, the prices and choices are shown on the form. All Scouts must have a Troop t-shirt for campouts and enough t-shirts to wear each day for Skymont summer camp in June. Orders and money for t-shirts are due to Mrs. Teri Gulati by Tuesday April 20. If you pay using ScoutBucks, PayPal or Plastiq, please text or email Mrs. Gulati and let her know that. We will not be able to accept orders after April 20. You can text or email your order to Mrs. Gulati at 901-481-3617 or hgulati@aol.com by 4/20 if you can’t be at the Troop meeting (she prefers texts). Please consider now if you will need a larger size soon or if you would like a long-sleeve t-shirt for the fall/winter, as we will not be ordering again until next year.
April 24 Service Project at Faith Presbyterian – 9AM-Noon
On Saturday April 24, we will have a service project at the church spreading mulch in the flower beds. Bring a mask, water bottle, shovel or bucket, and a wheel barrow if you have one. Please sign up at the link if you can attend (both Scouts and adults). Scouts can earn service hours for rank requirements. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D4CACAC22ABFF2-service
May Campout
The May campout is changed from a canoe trip to a campout at Camp Currier. There will be rifle and shotgun shooting, and to cool off in the afternoon, we will be jumping off the boat dock using a PFD (personal flotation device). Each person will need a PFD, if you have some extra ones that the troop can borrow, please let Mr. Issing know. The troop has some PFDs also.
Annual Health and Medical Record – due April 20
The Annual Health and Medical Record form can be found online at https://www.scouting.org/health-and-safety/ahmr/. Parts A, B, and C should be completed annually for all Scouts, dads, and leaders attending campouts and are due to Mr. Richard Ralph by April 20. Part C requires a doctor’s signature.
· Do not leave any lines blank (You must designate at least one adult to transport your Scout on Part A)
· Do not email the health forms
· Any changes in medications taken from what is reported on the health form should be communicated to Mr. Ralph so he has the most up-to-date information at all times.
COVID-19 Vaccine Information
We would like to collect information on how many of our Scout leaders and Scouts age 16 or older have had the COVID-19 vaccination. We are hoping that this information will help the church make their decision to allow us to meet indoors. If you are willing to share this information, please email Kim Ridenhour that you are either “fully vaccinated” or “partially vaccinated and expect to be fully vaccinated by (date)”. This is completely optional.
Final Skymont Payments due April 27
Attached is a list of the merit badge fees that are due for each Scout by April 27. The final payment for adults of $15 is also due by April 27. You can pay online using PayPal or Plastiq, use Scout Bucks if you have an available balance, or pay in-person at the troop meeting (weather permitting).
