Troop T-shirt Orders
Mrs. Peggy Lux will have the t-shirts that were ordered at the next Troop meeting on Tuesday, April 7th. Please pick up your t-shirt order that night prior to or at the beginning of the meeting. If you cannot pick them up that night, please call Mrs. Lux at 240-0484 to arrange a time to pick them up at her home or work (Central Church). Everyone will need to wear Troop t-shirts at Camporee on April 10-12th.
Eagle Court of Honor for Kyle Ralph & Jack Borg – Rehearsal this Tuesday at 6 pm
The Eagle of Court of Honor for Kyle Ralph and Jack Borg will be Sunday, April 19th at 3 pm at the church. Several Scouts have been asked to participate in the ceremony. There will be two rehearsals for those participating: Tuesday, April 7th at 6 pm and Sunday, April 19th at 2 pm.
Eagle Service Project for Tristan Hube – April 17 & 18
Tristan’s Eagle Service Project will be building 5 bat houses at Briarcrest Christian School at 76 South Houston Levee Road, Eads, TN. Scouts and adults who would like to help with the project can sign up with Tristan at the next Troop Meeting on Tuesday, April 7th.
Project dates and times: Friday, April 17 from 4:00 pm (or whenever you can get there) to 8:00 pm and Saturday, April 18 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm (may finish earlier)
Directions: Turn in on the smaller side of the campus with the sports fields (not the main side with buildings)
Lunch will be provided on Saturday. Bring a water bottle and wear work clothes.
Friends of Scouting – Consider a Donation
The Chickasaw Council is asking for donations to the Friends of Scouting program to help support the cost of the Scouting program, Camporees, summer camps, and providing Scouting to those who cannot afford it. They are offering a Centennial Award program to Troops that meet certain criteria, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Council. BSA Swim Check
The BSA swim check for our Troop will be Tuesday, April 14th at the Germantown Athletic Club, 1801 Exeter, in place of our regular Troop meeting. The cost will be $5 per person, if not a member of the Germantown Athletic Club. Please pay the $5 as soon as possible, if not a member of GAC. Passing the swim check is required for all Scout and adults who participate in any water activities with the Troop – swimming, canoeing, kayaking, etc. If you haven’t been swimming since last summer, make plans to get some swim practice in before the swim check.
Health Forms Due April 30th
Health Forms Parts A, B and C need to be updated annually and are due by April 30th to Mr. Ralph for Scouts and adults. Part C is required for summer camp and the Washington DC trip for Scouts and adults and requires a physician signature, so make your doctor appointments now. We encourage all Scouts to have Part C completed, whether attending summer camp or not. All adults attending campouts should also complete Parts A & B. Please also keep a copy of the form you turn in for your records. The form can be downloaded from this link -http://www.scouting.org/
