Reminders for Tuesday, October 2

• The $25 campout fee for the Backpacking 101 trip on October 19-21 is due Tuesday, October 2 (a week early due to fall break). Please sign up and pay our scribe, Will Ridenhour, or our treasurer, Mr. Frederick Lee by the October 2 deadline. Those who wish to sign up after October 2 must follow the late sign-up procedure which can be found on our website: https://www.troop48.org/f/docs/RulesandProcedures.html
• Backpacking gear inspection for Scouts not yet First Class – bring your backpack with all gear for inspection on Tuesday, October 2 if you wish to attend the October 19-21 backpacking trip.
• Greenery sale – Each Scout or adult who brings their order form with at least two orders on October 2 to the Troop meeting will get yummy cupcakes from Smallcakes! 
• Patrol Leader elections will be held Tuesday, October 2

 

CPR/AED American Red Cross Training Opportunity

There will be training sessions on Saturdays, October 20, 27 and November 3 to learn CPR/AED techniques to save someone’s life when having a cardiac event. This training is available to Scouts and adults, and the fee is $61. If you are interested, please see the attached flyer for more information and how to register.

 

Greenery Sale – Orders due October 23

Our greenery sale is underway! Please see Mrs. Reynolds if you have not received your greenery sale envelope. Scouts will earn 60% of the profits for greenery sold in their ScoutBucks accounts. So get selling! All orders and money are due October 23, and greenery will arrive around November 13.

 

Popcorn Sale – Orders due October 23

Please get as many popcorn orders as you can – orders and money are due on October 23 for popcorn that will be delivered on November 13. If you haven’t registered on the www.Trails-End.com website, please do that soon. You must be registered on the site to be eligible for prizes.

 

New Cub Scout Pack

Faith Presbyterian Church is forming a new Cub Scout Pack for children ages 5-10, so if you know anyone who would be interested, please contact Mr. John Campbell (johnccampbellsr@gmail.com) 569-1770.

 

Ice Cream Pails Needed

The troop is looking for up to nine clean, one-gallon ice cream pails with lids. They can be brought to a troop meeting and left in Room 111.
